PALFINGER has announced a new range of loader cranes to replace its PK16001 and PK18001, dubbed the Solid line.
The Solid range, which the company says stands for “robust, easy and reasonably priced cranes” will be offered in three different configurations, with model numbers PK 17.001 SLD 1, PK 17.001 SLD 3 and PK 19.001 SLD 5, replacing the PK 16001, PK 16001-K and PK 18001 EH. Respectively.
The PK 17.001 SLD 1 is the Non-CE approved entry level model, sold without overload protection to a basic specification. An optional electro-hydraulic overload protection and a top seat control are available.
The PK 17.001 SLD 3 is available as non-CE and CE-versions and the standard model comes equipped with Paltronic 50 overload system with the option to fit a 2.5 tonne winch.
The top of the range PK 19.001 SLD 5. comes equipped with Paltronic 50, E-HPLS system, which slows the crane speed and increases capacities - by getting the most out of the crane’s/vehicle’s stability, radio remote control and a load-sensing control valves.
All three versions are available with up to five hydraulic extensions, a reverse linkage system with single linkage, called Single Link Plus, and offer a hydraulic reach of up to 14.8 metres. The PK 17.001 SLD 1 and PK 17.001 SLD 3 offer a load moment of 16.8 tonne/metres, while the PK 19.001 SLD 5 is an 18.5 tonne/metre crane.
PALFINGER says that the new Single Link Plus system- like its Power Link Plus - allows crane operation in more restricted spaces, thanks to the above horizontal articulation, while giving it the ability to lift heavy loads from difficult positions. It also says that the design reduces the overall height of the crane.
The CE cranes also include PALFINGER'S HPSC-E system which senses the outrigger positions and formulates the load chart to match that set-up.
