Unic Cranes Europe has developed a hydraulic luffing jib attachment for its URW295 and URW706 spider cranes.
Unveiled at Intermat, the updated URW295-2 and URW706-2 spider cranes feature a hydraulic luffing jib while retaining the same lift-to-weight ratio and dimensions as the original models. Effectively converting them into a form of articulated spider crane, the new models, while not the same, will offer an alternative to the increasingly successful Maeda MK1033CW-1.
The URW295-2 has a hook height of 11.6 metres and a 700kg lift capacity, while the URW706-2 has a hook height of 25.9 metres and an 800kg lift capacity. Both hydraulic luffing jibs can offset by up to 60 degrees and can also be fitted with a jib nose mounted hook.
